　　在父親的生日宴會(huì)上，一面鏡子的突然碎裂讓吉娜（琳娜·海蒂 Lena Headey 飾）和眾人感到了深深的不安。第二天，吉娜來到工作的醫(yī)院，卻被告知就在不久之前自己剛剛離開了醫(yī)院。對(duì)于這一異象，吉娜只以為是同事眼花，但之后發(fā)生的事情卻讓她再也無法保持平靜——無論是大街上正在行駛的紅色越野車，還是車中所坐的女子，皆和吉娜完全相同。　　無法控制自己好奇心的吉娜尾隨女子來到了一幢公寓，過后，吉娜遭遇了慘烈的車禍。為了療傷，吉娜開始和男友斯蒂芬（梅爾維爾·珀波 Melvil Poupaud 飾）同居，她將她的所見所聞告知了男友，后者卻認(rèn)為她不過是腦部受到了創(chuàng)傷，吉娜陷入了無盡的恐懼和懷疑之中。

　　Following her mother’s death, manga artist Soriya travels to her ancestral home in Phnom Penh, with hopes of reconnecting with her distant family and using the visit as inspiration for her work. All goes well initially. Renting an apartment in Metta, a rundown Khmer Rouge-era housing complex, her visit to her maternal relatives finds her welcomed with open arms. But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present.　　Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
