Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　在現代都市里，居然出了奇怪的大事。某日從天降下一位怪人，而且自稱財仙（譚詠麟），為了逃避群眾追趕，而湊巧遇上了茶室老板及其女兒愛玲、兒子彬彬。隨即他變被打扮成時代青年財仙，替老板解決了不少難題，更積極傳播真理，讓身邊的人人都能幸福快樂。后來，財仙為救汽車失事的愛玲，使用法力搶救但似的自己變成凡人。而后更遭太空署人員圍捕，幸得眾人齊心救援，方才遇難呈祥、逢兇化吉。　　香港天皇級的歌手譚詠麟早期80年代的電影作品。譚詠麟雖然憑《假如我是真的》奪得第十八屆金馬獎男主角，但是要數出他的代表作也不容易。因為他所主演的片子大多走搞笑路線，觀眾大多笑完即止。不過其中《小生怕怕》、《少爺威威》、《恭喜發財》也算得上當時優秀的喜劇作品，而且對于在樂壇上作全力沖刺的譚詠麟來說，能出演40多部電影，也可算是一個神話。延續了此前《小生怕怕》、《少爺威威》等片的商業熱力，本片推出后也大獲成功，贏得了接近兩千萬的高票房，站到了年度賣座電影的前五名之內。故事的結局和所有的賀歲片如出一轍，同樣是皆大歡喜。樂呵呵的看完電影，但演員們的精彩表現還是讓人津津樂道，至今翻看起來仍舊能回味無窮。
